I have a question, recently bought a used 2011 Toyota Tundra 5.7L with 120,000 miles on it for $13,000 (Do not know if pricing is allowed). Is it even possible to get a extended warranty for it that a good deal? As far as I know, there ain't any major wrong with it yet, but I do have fear sometime in the future could happen. Which warranty plan should I get since the truck is older than the new ones.

    Thanks

I would research the truck's history (carfax) and then maybe see what the dealer options are. If you are buying it from a dealer, they are going to try and sell you a warranty of some kind.

If you're in the North where they use a lot of salt and slag for winter, I would check the frame.

On son in law purchased a 2010 Tundra with 125000 miles he purchased a extended warranty from - Route 66 warranty. He has had very good luck with it

The problem is, bought the truck from Toyota Goldsboro, NC. I do not want to deal with them again if possible because they didnt do anything I ask nicely before I picked up the truck that Sunday. It's a long story really. They threw away the backup camera that they had cut off, didn't check the tire sensors because the light was on, turns out someone removed them from the tires. It goes on...

Guessing you really wanted this truck. When things are going poorly at a dealership, its time to walk.
Research any EW, many have deductibles that can be high. Not big on EW's myself, would rather self warranty, put that money in the bank

    Good Luck!

I purchased an extended warrenty from Vanguard vehicle armor and when I went to use it I was told they would only cover fourty percent of repairs, be careful alot of them are rip offs.

As Trooper2 said, 'warranty' it yourself. I mean come on its a toyota not a fiat-chrysler or ford. Invest the money instead....

How handy are you? Can you do somethings yourself. With 120,000 miles there will be things that need routine maintenance. Shocks may need replacing, fluids, etc. Some of these things may not be covered under an extended warranty.

That mileage wouldn't concern me. I would, as routine maintenance/ new to me vehicle replace all the fluid ( oil change, trans flush, fr/ r diffs and trans case (if 4wd)) as well as spark plugs. Cheap insurance really. My 2¢.
