Bushwacker Bracket Install

I swear Bushwacker gave me two identical brackets. One works great for passenger side. Driver's side simply doesn't work.

Am I crazy or should I have mirror image brackets?

There should be molded lettering in the brackets that say RF or LF. They absolutely should be mirrored because the holes are not evenly spaced throughout the bracket .
