    Hello all,

Tried to replace my front bump stops with wheelers and rust was victorious yet again. Attached are photos of the busted bolt and the oem bump stop. Due to the tight working area, I am struggling to find a solution. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I enlarged that oblong hole on the side, just enough to get my finger in there. Then bought Superbumps, shoved the bolt through, taped the nut onto my finger, and was able to get the bolt onto the nut. Then shoved a screwdriver in the hole to lodge the nut in place and tightened the bolt.

Thank you very much for the reply. You are a life saver. So you used the bolt that came with the super bump kit to shove through? And what size nut did you tape to your finger? Sorry not following. The super bump hardware I ordered only came with the Allen key and the bolt.

That stud off the oem bump is stuck in there. You will need to drill/extract it out. Most places sell a drill bit called a quick out. Spray some on blaster on that. Swing down your lca to get the drill bit in there and straight to extract.

LOl that happened to me a couple years ago and never fixed it. Thanks for the reminder on my to do list. As others suggested looks like you and I will have to extract it out.

But if the screw is completely rusted on and you have to drill it out, then you can do what I did.
