I bought a toyota bumper support for a sport/rock warrior package for my 2011 Tundra LTD crewmax.

My factory hitch is in rough shape, rusty and I had to remove to get the frozen hitch attachment out of the receiver, so I bought the Curt unit as its the cheapest but obvious overkill for this size truck.

The factory bumper does not work with the bracket. Is the rock warrior bumper with sonar sensors different in design and mounting vs the LTD chrome bumper w/sonar? I was thinking I'd just buy a RW bumper w/ sonar and paint it to match and use the new mount instead of my old hitch and rusted chrome bumper, but I'm afraid to buy a bumper I don't know will fit.

toyota bumper bracket I'm using is 520230C130, picture is attached. I thought I read the bumpers were the same, but this mount/bar does not have the correct mounting holes for my LTD bumper

I assume someone out there has figured out how to swap hitches and still mount there factory bumper.

Which bumper do I need for this bracket, will it work with the LTD bed? Anyone know if the RW bed is different than the LTD w/o RW? sorry for so many questions but I figured this would be the best place to find answers and solutions.

    Thanks for reading

No I don’t want the factory hitch any longer. I’m trying to mount the bumper without it.

    thanks

The bracket I posted is not compatible with my bumper though.

Yeah I got it figured out. The correct bumper reinforcement bracket is TO1106209 aftermarket, Toyota pn is 52023-0C120 if anyone is wondering. The part number posted in the first post is not correct for the bumper with sonar.

I got one from RockAuto for relatively cheap. It bolts up to the frame but uses holes not used by the factory towing package so I had to tap clean the threads and buy a couple of bolts from the local dealer. I went with the Curt hitch that will allow me to tow 8k with a dump trailer. Hoping to buy a 10k trailer to tow my tractor and cars from time to time. The hitch is rated for like 16k which would obviously break the truck but at least I know it’s good and strong and not rusty like the factory hitch was.
