New here so sorry if im doing this wrong. I have an 07 Tundra sr5 double 4x4.

What is this above my bump stops that is destroying them? I haven't seen these tubes on any other images I've come across. I purchased the truck with this. But now that I've been doing research to upgrade my suspension I noticed my bump stops are being torn to shreds. Why might these hollow tubes have been put on here? Are they part of the bracket or welded to the bracket?

    Too many mods to come

Looks like someone welded an extension tube to limit the up travel more.

Got it so I should probably cut those off while changing the back shocks and adding torch add a leaf? I don’t plan to be towing much or anything heavy.

Oh wow. They probably had some huge wheels and tires and needed to limit the up travel. Looks like they'd be easy to take off, possibly with a hammer even.
