Bulge is “bulgy like a moose” after NSV install

As you can see it pops away from the hood and up at both corners after installing the NSV light bar. I know I’m not the only one having this problem but I can’t find a solution... has anyone come up with anything?

 

You'll have this issue if a cable/plug is in the way, if the bulge isn't aligned properly or if a clip is damaged. I've taken mine on and off a few times now and this happened to me only once. I had to take it off again to get it to fit properly. The other option is the light bar isn't installed properly.

 

I double checked everything and it all checks out. I ended up loosenig the screws in the end brackets and it flattened out a bit but there’s still an unsightly gap.
