BSM and ABS light on after 8 inch ReadyLift lift kit.

Hey Everyone!

I recently put an 8 inch ReadyLift lift kit with Bilstein shocks on my Tundra and after about 2 months, the ABS and BSM lights came on. After shutting off the engine and starting it the next day, the lights turned off and stayed off. This happened twice already. I called ReadyLift and they said take it to the dealer to get the ABS and BSM re-calibrated. Does anyone know why these lights are coming on and if the dealer will be able to re-calibrate it? I have a 2014 Tundra Platinum 4x4 Crewmax. Thanks in advance!

 

Look for a damaged abs plug/wire or speed sensor plug/wire. Most likely it was stretched during install and it was only a matter of time before suspension movement on a stretched wire took its toll.

 

The ABS plug seems to be ok with no visible damage. Any idea where the speed sensor plug is?

 

There’s one on each wheel. They look like this, but you only see a little of the wire end.
