I'm having the 2" front/back lift kit installed by the previous owner removed.
The garage discovered today that the front right coil spring was broken - really.
Toyota doesn't have replacements in stock, so I'm having to go after market.
And I need to buy the pre-assembled strut assembly, because, again, the individual parts are not available.
Anyone experience a broken front spring? Any idea as to cause?

Are you wanting to keep the 2" lift? Also whats the brand/type of lift that's on it? ToyTec has a ToyTec top hat, Eibach spring and shock as a "ReadyStrut" for $621 with choice/adjustability between 1"-2" depending on the brand of lift if its a coil over you could get a new set of springs for around $220 but would have the cost of spring install vs strut RnR and depending on how worn the shock or top hat is would also factor in.
But if your main goal while replacing the struts is to unlift the Tundra there is many companies that make "ready strut's" for replacement for around $220 a pair with quality being hit or miss. Maybe TRQ would be a safe bet for a brand as there in around the top 5.

You should be able to find a used pair locally. Check Criagslist or other source. Lots of folks have take-offs.
