Pulled into garage this morning after a Lowes run and there was a piece of red spring in the middle of drive. Sure enough looked under the truck and the front right spring was broken. Truck has 22500 easy miles. Can I get just a replacement spring? I called local Toyota dealer and of course they want me to bring it in so they can diagnos the problem..... well duh! I'm sure it's not warrantied. Thoughts?

Another member on here a few months back was having a helluva time finding a replacement spring. Everyone recommended he just find a comparable aftermarket spring option and rebuild the coilovers with the replacement springs. Obviously you'd want to do both sides to have the same spring rate and such

Possible that the flaw was there prior to corrosion?
Not that it makes much difference.

if you look close at that pic of the entire spring piece, the left side of pic, that has been broken for awhile. I thought I heard a slight clicking noise in the front for awhile when turning in the drive. I'm already looking for parts. Screw the dealer bs!

I may be mistaken, but I think that other member was able to source a pair of reasonably comparable springs through @memario1214

I wish I had the good news story here. While I did go chasing down every rabbit trail I could... I was unsuccessful. I was able to positively identify the spring. However, the different diameter top to bottom makes this spring unique, and one that Eibach only makes in ONE application. This one. That said, the spring is locked under contract with Toyota, and as a result they were simply unable to sell me one. The guy's dealership told him that they couldn't replace just the spring either, and that the entire assembly had to be swapped.

What we ultimately did was get the Eibach Pro truck lift spring (HERE) for building onto his existing springs, and we sourced him a completely different suspension for his truck. He then sold the rebuilt/lifted TRD Pro suspension as used because he didn't want the additional lift. These spring breaks are kind of a shit deal on the TRD Pro setups because none of us can fix them "aftermarket" due to the unique-ness of that spring.

Thanks for sharing that info. That kind of makes me want to offload my TRD pro shocks while they're worth something and just replace them with something comparable that's readily available in the aftermarket.

I erased my post. Just get them Eibach springs from Colton @memario1214 . Sometimes I forget he's able to sell almost everything!

Or just lift your truck a bit with the Eibach lift springs? If/when they break, that is.

How much front lift would those Eibach springs provide over the stock TRD pro springs? I have about 1-3/4" of rake because I have the Icon AAL on the rear, and want to keep most of that to avoid squatting when towing. Guess I could spring for RAS too if I have to lift the front up more

It says 1.8". Not sure how exact that is. You'd probably be looking about perfectly level, maybe a slight rake. Totally guessing, though.

Oh! Didn't even think of that interpretation tbh.

To be clear, I have no interest in purchasing OE Takeoff TRD Pros. I already have far more of a suspension graveyard than I care to think about.

I actually took it as "I know a guy" meant OP on this thread might want to buy my shocks, and @memario1214 also would sell me some new aftermarket replacement shocks.
