Couldn't you just unplug the switch?
I think it grounds the circuit when the door is open and the circuit is open when the door is closed..

Hey there! That door switch issue sounds super annoying. You might try cleaning the contacts or replacing the switch module entirelycheap part and easy swap. Hope it fixes your door probs!
