    Edit: "Broken Blend Door?" typo

The air flow through the vents in heat mode is really slow. The AC works fine but when moving the thermostat control over to the heat side it suddenly chokes it off after about one second, like something closing off the air flow. Even on the highest fan speed it feels like the lowest fan speed when the heat is engaged. It does it for the dash vents and heat on the floor.

It's just a basic HVAC double cab. Not dual and don't then it has vents to the back.

I've read though every discussion on this, but didn't find one that had this exact issue.

It's a 2021 with 13,000 miles so still under factory warranty.

The air filter has always been really clean. I replaced it recently. I don't see any signs of rodents. It looked like the air intake under the wipers has a plastic grill over it.

Planning to take it to the dealership.

I'm wondering if this would be normal? I tested it after engine is fully warmed up, and it just chokes off the air flow as soon as the dial is moved over to the heat side. Doesn't matter if it's on recirculation or not.

Hoping someone with more knowledge can offer some kind of basic assessment so I can have better info when taking it to the dealership as its something I would like fixed right while its under warranty and not get the run around.

So I took it to a dealership. My service rap tried to convince me it was normal and even found a 2023 1794 with full climate control to try and compare it, then a master mechanic said he would need to compare it to another same year and set up, to see if it was normal. They did a few recall repairs, and said it still had some airflow on high fan setting, so was good enough, then the service rep said something was off with it, and to bring it back again later if it still bothered me. So pretty much no help from anyone on this issue. They did have a shuttle and the driver mentioned they spent over 6 hours for an alignment for a Taco with huge tires, lift and spacers, so I'm thinking they were so busy with that didn't have time to even look at mine. This should have been repaired under warranty. Maybe I'll take it back again when it's colder or take to another dealership. Maybe get in touch with the manager who responds to google reviews.
