I have a 2016 Tundra limited that I took in for a transmission service new fluid and filter. The guy doing the work told me there was brass filings in the pan.Has anyone else ever experienced this?
If so did the transmission fail? The guy told me everything else was fine. The truck shifts right and everything seems fine. He told me just drive it and don't worry about it.Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

    Too many, but not enough....
How many miles on truck? Have you ever done a tranny fluid change before? Did he flush it or drained and filled?

    1. He has no way to tell if they are actually brass.

    2. Probably normal wear material from years of usage and no fluid changes.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you are, do a couple more drain and fills to clean every thing out.

Good call on tyranny service. Mine started acting up before 100k. Did flush at the dealer and she felt like new again. Currently almost 150k.
