Good morning all. Noticed I had a few lights pop up on my dash and I also noticed my left brake light was not working with running lights on. Would cut power to everything on the left side when I would push the brake.. let go and the tail lights would come back on

    Truck dash showing:
    Vsc (blinking)
    Abs(solid)
    Traction control(solid)

    Problem:
Tail lights on, left brake light does not work

Tail lights off, left brake light works

started to think what it could be and I came up with:

Loose wire, my first thought. (Aftermarket light housings)
    2nd..fuse
3rd stop light switch near pedal

Just though I’d check and see if anyone else has or had this problem before I start throwing money around.

    thanks,
    Kai

Sounds like a burnt out filament on that bulb. Tail lights have one filament & brake lights have the other filament. Both are not illuminated at the same time. I bet you do not have brake lights on that side when your lights are off either.

Look for corrosion and rusted out contacts in the bulb sockets.

No problem. Those connections are easily exposed to the elements as you can tell. It happened to me on my 2013.

Sounds like you found the problem. Similar to one of mine with a blown bulb.
