I had a question on the subject of brake calipers and what to do, covers or calipers themselves? Are all brake calipers compatible with the stock rotors?

Im confused what you are asking. While im sure there are aftermarket brake calipers designed for our tundras, you can't just slap on some brake calipers that are not made for the truck. The mounting holes would be completely different, lining up with the rotor would also be a problem.

If you want to paint the calipers well then have at it. Buy the right paint and do it on a nice non windy day. If doing it on the truck (meaning not removing them prior to paint) make sure to mask it all off or you can get overspray on way too many thing you dont want to color.

If you want to buy aftermarket calipers, sure that could be an option too. As long as they are sized correctly for the truck, it shouldnt be a problem. With these trucks being so new I wouldnt want to swap those calipers out yet, lots of service life left. Just paint them if you have to and enjoy.
