I apologize for my ignorance, but I have been reading thru the threads.... it seems the 'boss 3/1' lift kits are the best? i mean better than readlift, rough country, etc in regard to ride comfort and perhaps safety (no spacers, blocks, etc).

    I read this by csuviper:
"I still highly recommend the Toytec Boss kit. For the price it really is the best offering that I have had. Onroad and off-road performance was great.

Street only and want to stay low cost go with the split Toytec spacer lift.
Mainly road with some off-road the Boss is great."

I am assuming this is the one csuviper and others seconded and thirded etc....

this one?: and then use the shackles as they are superior for 'ride' comfort?:
SKLTUN-2247 - Toytec 1-1.5" Adjustable Shackles with new lower bushings

All I am trying to do is accomodate these rims and I am not sure if the 3/1 toytec lift would do that:
and with that 3/1 lift kit, would I be able to use these with that lift?:

    Fuel Black Cleaver, 5X150/5.5, -18mm

would I need to go all the way up to 3inches in front, or would 2 inches work?

Also, some are mentioning to get new upper control arms.... that adds about $700 to the price.... what is the purpose of changing the upper control arms, and is it necessary?

I am new to this and don't know much of anything vehicle tech wise.....

thank you all for any assistance.

also, about how many hours would it take to install that lift, with the shackles? I am trying to get a roundabout price for installation, in other words.... 6 hours? $400 to install? any help appreciated

That's exactly the set up I have and would never go any other route. Ride is smooth and has never given me any problems. If you plan to set them all the way up to 3 inches of lift, (I have mine cranked up to about 3 1/2") you will probably want the UCA's (upper control arms) as well.

Solid company, Solid kit. You will not regret it.

@Vancepp , thank you very much.
the upper control arms increases the price by about $700 it seems..... what is the purpose of these different control arms? what issues will I have without changing them?

I am considering these rims and basically just want to be able to put on these wheels with different tires..... if 2 inches up front will accomodate that, then that is all i would want to do if it saves $700 and works:

and with that 3/1 lift kit, would I be able to use these with that lift?:

Check out JBA UCA’s. They’re about $500ish so that’s a bit Lowe than the $700 you mention. And they’re great UCA’s
