Boogies 2020 Platinum Build Thread

Hey fellas...So I grew up the son of a life long Toyota Salesman so the Toyota love is in my Veins. I had a ‘97 4x4 taco when I was in the Marines (Solid little truck) and then at my EAS (End of Active Service) I bought a 1st Gen (2005) Tundra Double Cab that I put 250K miles on. My wife often said I loved that truck more than her . Then in August 2020 the Wife let me buy a 2020 Platinum for our 20 year “Platinum Anniversary”. Fitting right? Lots of plans for this truck with the end goal to hand it off to my 3 year old son when he is ready for it.

Center console chrome delete..Started off painting the cup holder with color match silver paint but it was clear it was not going to last. Like a couple other guys on the forum, I opted for the rattle cancan Dupli-Color bed liner cover. Matches well and very durable! I didn’t have the balls to drill out the plastic welds on the shift gate so I used the AJT Design shift gate cover.

 

This Wednesday 10-7, I had my boys at AllOut off-road in Stafford, TX install a 4.5” BDS Lift, Non Coil Over (For Now), Amp research running boards, 20x9 Fuel Trophy Wheels with a +1 offset, 35x12.5r20 BFG Ko2s and a Hyper Tech spedo Cal. They also did a carrier Bering drop. Need to take it back so they can do a Body Mount Chop because its just barley rubbing at full lock.

Me and my boy spent the day cleaning the truck up today after the lift. I’m really happy with the results!

 

Looks fantastic! Love the silver. Mine is MGM, but if I could do it over again, I would have gotten the silver. The guys at ALL OUT OFFROAD in Pearland installed my Pro Comp 6" lift. Trustworthy shop.
