So I love this truck. It started its life as a work truck in Texas, then it was a work truck here in Oregon, and then it was mine. I like a car with some scratches on it because then you don’t care if it gets one more.

I know the previous owner well. He hit a deer (at least) and the truck has a lot of random pieces of broken plastic. Any recommendations for repairing versus replacing? Figured I’d get crazy one weekend with some epoxy maybe.

Body work is expensive and not worth it IMHO.

Right around 168,000. I like the zip tie idea above.

Yeah, leave the bodywork. Zip ties are your friend

Put a metal offroad bumper on it. A body shop should be able to touch up the grill surround for not a lot of money. especially if you find a mobile paint tech.

Got a replacement valance off of eBay. I was excited to throw it on tonight.
Until I found out it’s basically impossible without taking off the whole bumper. Should be a quick and easy operation, but lord knows this truck is probably missing some clips or screws, so I’m saving it for Sunday.

Any advice on where to get snap pins for this truck? It’s missing some from the grill for instance. Not urgent, just trying to fill in some gaps.

Try scratch doctor on the grille for the white scuff might be able to knock it back quite a bit. As for the bumper any broken tabs just plastic weld with a heat iron back together and some steel mesh and epoxy for reinforcements. Or go the route I did after my front bumper went to hell , go with a nice aftermarket steel or aluminum bumper for any future bumper issues.
