I am sure this has been asked a thousand times, but maybe someone could help me answer this question. I have 35/12.5/R17 on the way. I want to install the tires and the leveling kit on my own. Will I be ok doing this before I get the BMC. I would probably be driving around for about a week or two “stock” before I actually get the chop done. My biggest concern is tearing up the new rubbers.

Just get the BMC/CMC done before, so you wouldn't have to worry about it rubbing. I installed kings', then chopped (BMC) it, and modified the front inner fender then last are the wheels and tires.

    What offset are your wheels?

    They are +0 offset.

That’s true. I could do the level then do the chop and then put on the wheels. I just want to make sure the shop can see the actual tire I have installed so they can make enough room.

They can only chop the bracket so far because the rubber mount is in the way. If they do that you should clear.

With the 0 offset, they need to get really close. Plus if you have stock skid plates, they need to chop those sides as well.

Thanks. I’ve seen it done on multiple 2018s. I just don’t want to do the chop myself.
