Has anyone else noticed a pretty substantial difference in quality between Android Auto and Bluetooth?
I have been using AA since the truck was new in June. Yesterday the phone wasn't plugged in and bluetooth started to play the music. It is a night and day difference.
The truck is a 2020 SX

I never really compared AA to Bluetooth on my Pioneer, but I recently switched back to an iPhone and CarPlay - there's a noticeable increase in quality on CarPlay. AA has always been a buggy, semi-beta project from Google. It gets old dealing with all the issues.

That said, have you tried swapping cables/brands to see if there's any difference?

I don't remember AA is worst than the Bluetooth. But, in my experience Bluetooth always drops drops its connection. Abs in the past couple of months, AA updates that was being pushed are a buggy too. Supposedly, they're rolling out the fix as of this week.

Same for Apple Play. Seems counter intuitive but it’s definitely worse.

Wellllllllll...bluetooth sucks...I live in the mountains of MT and for some reason...i lose connection. I tend to think because my phone is 2 feet from the radio that there should be no connectivity issues. I am also 50 so...the radio quality for me is fine...I do not need the "boom" from my youth...(which was like 1 year ago). My Tundra arrives at the dealership on 23 Nov. So...24 Nov...maybe 25 unless they all take off for Thanksgiving...I pick "her" up. (why a her...because I can control her instead of my wife...anyway.) I am hoping the AA works well because If we can hand count ballots in one day then we should be able to not lose connection on our phone...ever!!!
