2017 sequoia limited with oem jbl radio package.
I like to stream YouTube vids from my phone and using bluetooth for the audio through the factory deck. The problem is, it's always out of sync. You can see the video playing a good 1-2 seconds before the audio. The audio is playing "catch-up" with the video. I have upgraded the radio's firmware. Latest version from toyota website.
Phone is galaxy s9+ on latest update. YouTube in latest version.

Anyone ekse have this problem? Or am I just outta luck?

I have the same issue. I bet if you could connect directly to the head unit without using Bluetooth it would work fine. I just think Bluetooth will have a delay always. I’d love to figure it out because I always watch videos on my phone through the system.

Yeah. Unfortunately I cannot directly connect to the stock headunit unless I go aftermarket. Dont have the need to go that route at the momen . I guess I will just have to suck it up and deal with the out of sync when playing youtube.

I've found a way around this problem. It involves the use of the aux port and 3.5mm audio cable. When playing YouTube, plug in your 3.5mm cable to your phone and into the aux port.
Switch your source on the car headunit to Aux . Then on your phone, under bluetooth find your vehicle bluetooth. Turn OFF bluetooth audio, but leave voice calling ON. This way you can still make and receive phone calls with bluetooth.
    No more out of Sync.

Yeah, there's a delay in the video over Bluetooth. Do you have an USB input?
If so that would solve that issue.

Or if you're are on android, try looking up the "vanced YouTube" app. Actually, if anyone has an android that likes watching YouTube they should download that app. Its a must have.
