Bluetooth issues when on calls

Is there a fix for Bluetooth issues? I have a 18 SR5 that when I’m on a Bluetooth call after a few min the radio shuts off and restarts.

 

I have the exact same issue on my 2014. Drives me nuts. Doesn't do it when using bluetooth to play music, only when on calls. Sometimes it will shutdown and restart several times. Is not temperature dependent.

I have been waiting a year for a new Kenwood head unit replacement. Hopefully they will be available soon.

 

Ya. It’s only calls. Not music. Does it every call.

I used the files in this link to update my radio. I can stay on a call as long as phone is unlocked. What phone do you have?

iPhone/ATT. But can tell you that from 2015-2019.5 I had no issues with the calls dropping on iPhone/Android - Verizon or ATT

 

I have a Verizon Pixel 6 Pro. I was waiting on the latest update from Google and do the factory reset on both the radio and phone. It's interesting I did not have any issue with a Pixel 3 xl.

 

I’m on Verizon.

 

Do you have any other Bluetooth devices saved in your phone? airpods etc?

my radio would behave exactly like this. I deleted my AirPods from my phones Bluetooth list and the issue is no longer.

to confirm, I added them back and the radio would cut the call and restart as it did before.

Still doing it. I don’t know if anyone can tell if I need a update by this photo. I’m looking into downloading the update if there is one. But when I do it says I need to pick if I have the radio with or without navigation. Only way I can do navigation is using the scout GPS link on my phone.

 

Well I already have the latest update. So I’m not sure what the hell the issue is.

 

Same on my 17. Been an issue for a bit now. Haven’t found a fix yet. Good luck.
