As the title says, there's a Limited Tundra with the TRD offroad package, available in blue (which is definity a color I'm okay with) for 70k, Canadian, not US $. Price builder on Toyota.ca with a couple add ons I would want, including red paint, for a Limited TRD offroad package for 74k. Local dealer told me an order at this time of year might give me a 2024, with wait times. Please give me any kind of totally biased, subjective, objective points to consider either option.

Note that prices are in Canadian $$.

My advice is pick the color and package you want and wait to get it. Personally speaking $70k+ was too much for me to compromise on three things:
    1. 4x4 Limited trim with OR pkg
    2. Color: lunar rock, wind chill pearl, or supersonic red
    3. hybrid drivetrain

Turned down 4-5 trucks that were missing one of the three above non-negotiables. Waited 9 months but was really happy when I found the exact truck. Now every time I drive it (or even see it in the driveway) I have no regrets because I didn't settle.

If waiting a bit longer and eating the price increase is no issue for you, I would shoot for the possible MY24. There may be some additional minor improvements made for the MY24 based on feedback from 22/23. They strengthened/improved the seat trim brackets for the MY23 based on the 22 having problems with cracking/splitting. There are a few other minor improvements as well. Toyota doesn't do new generations of vehicles quickly, but they are great at incremental improvements on fit and finish of interior/exterior components year to year.

I'll add the last thing you want to do is settle for a vehicle now instead of getting what you want. Having buyers remorse for a $70+K truck because you settled is no good.

This is what I did while waiting, while also rat holing extra $ each month. After 9 months it really impacted my down payment. So not only did I get what I wanted, the loan was thousands less it would have been. Just something to consider....

Thanks for the feedback guys. Decided against waiting, I do like the blue. And after having the local sales rep talk me out of placing an order with his dealership - limited with the offroad package is the most popular model... I've placed an order several towns over for a Limited with the off road package that will arrive in September.

Your call of course, but with the issues people are having with the 2022 and 2023 (while minor) models I would wait and would want the improved the 2024 model.

Hmm. I mean, I can pull out whenever up until I sign papers at no penalty. Right now I've put down a deposit and will take a hit to my credit for the financing application.

As other's have stated, 70K is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much for a limited. I paid 72K for my 1794 iForce Max 4wd with TRD offroad. Oh, just noticed you mention price is Canadian.

    Lots of stuff!
I just wanted to add that my 22 Limited TRD Offroad hasn’t had the issues that are discussed on the forum. The MSRP of 70K CDN is close to what Toyota.ca has listed. Remember that Canuck Bucks are about 70 to 75 cents compared to the USD. Sort of like Pesos ;)

So for $70k CDN the comparable price would be $52k USD.

Just think about how easy it would be to find you out the field? ;) With all the wanting to color things red, having the red truck would be a delight!

Looks like you already decided, but just sharing two thoughts:

I picked up my 23 in December which is when I started seeing them roll out elsewhere, so you would be waiting another 6-7 months, at least

Next, your not actually ordering the vehicle you want with options. The dealer puts you on a list and if they are allocated a vehicle that meets some/most/all of your needs or more, that's what your going to get.

For this reason and more is why I just waited until a truck was on the lot that I liked, with the options I wanted...

According to my this other dealer, this is guaranteed stock they know is incoming. I could have gotten a green truck in July or August in the same trim and off road package, but declined.
