Has anyone seen this issue? I have the truck in park at night with the lights on so the interior dash lights are on, and while sitting there, the entire climate control panel flickers on and off. If I touch the brake, it pops back on, but then continues to blink on and off after. Most of the threads talk about the blinking AC knob, but this isn’t that. Thanks for the help!

It’s the illumination circuit. All the interior lights are powered by a fuse. When you turn the headlights on the other side of the circuit is grounded through the dimmer switch and instrument cluster to turn the lights on.

I would double check the electrical connection in the back of the control panel. It should have an illumination power wire and illumination ground.

Either you are getting intermittent power to the AC panel or it has an internal failure in the control panel. The fact it changes with the brake lights coming on could show it’s a wiring issue somewhere.

I assume it does it all the time when the headlights are on? Do any of the other lights act in a similar way?

I might remove the panel, apply 12v power from a bench or battery and see if the lights stay on consistent. If they still flicker using a dedicated power supply, it would prove somthing is broken inside the AC panel.

It’s specific to the AC control panel. I’m assuming it’s more than likely the panel itself, as the wiring hasn’t been touched, so I doubt I have an open or ground happening. Just wondered if it might be a common issue. The AC doesn’t lose power, only the illumination lights at night on that specific panel. It also doesn’t start right away. It only happens in park after a few minutes.
