Blinking 4wd light but 4wd engaged

2019 tundra. So my 4wd light continues to blink but the truck is in 4wd. I confirmed by jacking up the front and confirming the wheels are engaged. If I shut the truck off and restart in 4wd, the light goes solid and everything is fine. It disengages fine without shutting it off. The same sequence works for 4lo. I have to shut the truck off and restart for the light to go solid.

any ideas? I did have electrical issues with the gateway computer and can bus system which seem to be otherwise fixed and I no longer have the codes.
