I have a 2016 and the blinker won't cancel. I've checked the bulbs and they both work. Does anyone know if this is a relay problem or if I have to replace the switch in the steering column?

Seem like that would be a switch problem.
Does it not cancel turning both ways?

    Check the blinker fluid level.

Is it safe to assume the steering wheel is centered while driving straight? Gross misalignment will cause the turn signal cancel to act weird.

The cancel is achieved mechanically through the turn switch / stalk and is activated by a tab on the bottom of the steering wheel. So either the switch stalk or the tab on the wheel is the cause of it not cancelling. Looking at some pics of Tundra steering wheels, it appears that there are metal tabs that are part of the aluminum hub of the steering wheel. So far more likely that the plastic cancel mechanism of the switch stalk bit the dust.

You don’t need to pull the steering wheel to replace the stalk. Just the column covers, and the stalk comes out the side.
