Blacked Out Badges

I want to change all my badges to black, any suggestions on what would be the best way to do it or where I should buy it from?

 

Use fishing line to "saw" behind the emblems to cut the tape/glue. Use "Goo-Gone" to remove the residual tape/glue. Best to liberally apply and let sit for 5-10 mins to allow the Goo-Gone time to soak into the tape/glue. Use a terry-cloth rag and start wiping it off. You'll have to reapply the Goo-Gone" as you wipe. Don't use any powered buffing wheels...too risky with the already thin clear coat.

Oh, its a good idea to use some tape to mark the location of the badges before you take them off. I used some painters tape above the badges.

I bought my badges from Roman at Toyota of Cool Springs.

Do a search and you will find tons of info on same.

 

And you just missed a sale, someone scored the whole blacked out set for like $50

 

I just purchased the blacked out overlays that go over the original chrome emblem from Sparks. Haven’t had an issue with them for almost a year now.
