Took off the Ranch Hand. Beefy as f**k but it sticks out too far at the bottom. Even with my new lift, it killed the angle of approach. By a lot. New direction time. I happen to like the looks of the Limited grille on Blaaaaaaaaaack! Pro grille look would be nice but I don't have a Pro.........but you never know!

I have Gorilla tape which is good. There is also T-Rex Brute Force tape now. Supposed to be even more bad ass. My T-Rex 35 yard roll was only $7.50 on Amazon yesterday. Just got dropped off. I'll get the Brute Force next if it goes on sale!

20210716_060807.jpg My Clarios/Optima 35 Red Top is a very decent battery. A reminder... Clarios, a Canuck company, bought out Johnson Controls in 2019. Yuge battery company. Clarios bought the Diehard brand at the same time. The 35 Red Top is a decent deep cell battery. The biggest fault is the reserve is only 90 minutes. Not prime time at all if you run anything even for a few minutes with the engine off. The Yellow Top is better suited but not cheap. I had a Yellow Top on my 07 and was quite good and had a winch and it was up to the task. I like Optima but the 35 Red Top has been a huge disappointment for me. The reserve is rated at 90 minutes but dies after an hour or so just using the OEM radio. I do not recommend the 35 Red Top because of this. I'm going to use my 35 Red Top when camping and as a backup. I bought a new 24F Clarios /JC , lead acid Die Hard Gold dated 5/21 that has substantially more reserve capacity and higher CA/CCA amps than the 35 Red Top with a three year replacement with no questions asked. The Platinum is pretty much the same but with a 4 year warranty.

Just got my collapsible Coleman Camp Wagon dropped off by A Prime. This will be pretty handy. Holds up to 150lbs. Also had another Mountain House Classic bucket dropped off. I get at least one bucket every month. Sometimes from Wise, The Ready Store, Augason Farms, or Valley Food Storage. 20210717_122032.jpg 20210717_125507.jpg Best by date is Jan 2051. I'll be 96..........

Still puzzled why folks here are buying the Ozzie sourced alternator voltage regulator IC for their AGM battery maintenance. My 7 year old alternator is still putting out 13.43 VDC to my battery with my cheesy OEM radio cranked and engine running. Enough DC volts to maintain an AGM. Battery is 12.78 VDC with engine off and radio cranked once I cut my engine off. Why are "they" spending $70 or so for something that they don't need? Just because those crazies on TacoWorld swear by them doesn't necessarily mean we need them on our Tunnies. Just sayin....20210717_165150.jpg 20210717_165340.jpg

I just throw mine on the CTEK charger once a month just to ensure things stay good. Gives me something to do.

Good stuff man. Been reading but not replying so just wanted to say that. Also, very impressed with how you take care of your grandson. Not just food and shelter but fun and knowledge. :hattip:

Auguson Farms has a very good variety of long term storage # 10 tins. The pancake and scrambled egg tins have a 10 year shelf life. The powdered milk and powdered whey milk substitute tins have a 20 year shelf life. These are not only good to have for emergencies but also for every day use. Ideal when weekend camping or at your fishing/hunting camp.20210721_144405.jpg

Bigger than I thought which is good. Already put my Milwaukee IR gun and DMM in the front pouch. I have some Milwaukee packout tool cases at work which will become part of my packout/bug out setup.....more to come!

Lots of ammo...lots......but alas.... all my firearms are at the bottom of Crater Lake due to a kayak mishap.....

We just got a new hire from Texas! We are training him. Isaac. I'll post a pick of his WRX tomorrow. I've been looking it over. It's a WTF WRX! Very low profile. I told him he needs another ride for CO winter. $$$ Volks racing rims that look like my FN BFD's that I had on my 07. These cost a bit more. Ha! His WRX is ready for prime time. Buying him lunch tomorrow for a ride. We are talking major upgrades. He has to pop the hood first. From what I'm seeing...he is a F&F fan and did it right.... pics tomorrow....
Side bar....Did I mention that I'm seeing lots of Texas plates here lately? I'll ask him why he moved out here, but we do have actual mountains here and better burgers.....I'm noticing what seems to be a trend going on...
