    Scored a "real" Latvian made Wavian NATO Jerry can for $68! I initially ordered only 1. Wanted to make sure it wasn't a cheap Chinese commie knock off as in thin steel, shitty welds, and not lined. Real Wavian's can be had from other sources on Amazon for around $95 that come with totally worthless cheap non flexible plastic Kali carb compliant 6" pour spouts that take forever to pour and next to impossible to hold the Jerry can and actually f*'g get gas out unless you have a 3rd arm. Now that I have this Wavian in hand I just ordered the last two in stock. I have a "non"carb compliant 12" Wavian steel flex spout that might get dropped off today that should actually work. Once I verify it's the real deal, I'll order two more. I already bought a pack of 5 spare rubber gaskets. (made in commie China).
    FYI....Wavian factory in Latvia is "the" supplier of Jerry cans for NATO.

    Edit: I just checked the seller's listing on Amazon. He has more Wavian's in stock but price jumped up to $83!

    Got off early today and took Manny to the Reservoir. Reservoir is full and figured zero chance of finding any petrified wood. Boy was I so wrong! Reservoir full but I was walking along an area I never really searched but walked by numerous times. About 2ft underwater I found several large pieces from a log that was uncovered over the winter wave action. When the water level lowers I'm going back with a shovel. The rest of the petrified log is buried into the bank. Heh....heh...

    Going to hand wash Venom tomorrow so I went down to the local self car wash and pressure washed everything including the front, back, and sides of the Retrax. Drove home and dropped the tailgate and retracted the Retrax.........no noticable water intrusion.:thumbsup:

    I'm really lovin my new to me RetraxOne MX. The only downside is that the take up canister is about 11" X 11" so you lose that upper front bed space. I was able to utilize the space below the canister to stow one of my tents and one of my nifty @ Toytec ARB camp chairs. I have the Amp Research bed extender that I can also utilize when more stow space is needed. I can put an additional 200+lbs on top of the Retrax. Going to modify the Retrax side rails to utilize the Yakima racks to carry my kayaks. Was going to get a soft topper but since I scored this Retrax for only $200....I altered my plans accordingly. There is a used RetraxOne MX on Colorado Springs Craigslist now for $800! I'm a ground tent camper anyways. I have a nifty 15' X 17' ft cabin tent that I'll use when I go to my off grid piece of CO paradise. Put it up once by myself a few years ago. Freaking huge but nice. It's great to be able walk into that tent with two big rooms. Don't need a RTT. Don't need that anchor. My property is ground zero. I plan a few trips up Medano Pass and back this summer. Only 30 minutes from my property.

    Was thinking about finally getting a NOCO but got an Amazon alert about a Lightening Deal going on with a new version of the 800A dBpower jump starter. Rated for 7.2L gas/5.5L diesel. Reviews were very good so "jumped" on it. With tax was $54 to my door. Comes with a nice hard case full of various adapters and chargers. Clamps are quite sturdy. Has a led light and a fairly accurate compass. Ha! Used it for the first time yesterday on a coworker's dead Silverado battery. Has the 5.3 v8. He was out of town overnight and apparently left his dome light on and killed the battery. This dBpower started it right up. It went from 100% to 92% charge. Not bad considering it was a bit cold yesterday. The case came with a chart that was a bit intriguing to say the least.....

    Hit my storage unit again today. More NIB Star Wars goodies. Finally found my Alaskan Ulu knife! Manny noticed some deer horns. Brought the rack home and just hung them up again for the first time in years. I was 12 when I bagged this bench buck in Nevada. 4 point. 28". 1968. Marlin 30.30 lever 336 with buckhorn sights. Maybe 70 yards away. One shot. In the left eye and out the right ear. My dad was impressed. Dressed weight was 240lbs. My first buck was the biggest one I ever bagged. I mounted the rack myself. I used my own RCBS Rock Chucker hand loads. No video games back then to waste my time at twelve.

    Comes with hitch mount. Going to get hardware to utilize the bed rail when not using it. Getting an Adarac so that will be another mounting option. I got it primarily to be used down on my off grid property. I've got a place to mount it down there too near my deck. No more awkward water bladder.
