Didn’t you have Fat Bobs? Was there a reason you swapped then out for the Toytecs? Just curious

Off grid mod and should be part of your recovery goodies. Nothing runs like a Stihl. A decent MS 180 with 16" bar and a gallon of premixed good to go MotoMix. Stihl MotoMix is stable up to 2 years once opened. Pricey but painless. Got a spare carb on the way, extra chain, bar, two "dogs", and a kit with 3 plugs, air filters, and fuel filters. Already have a gallon of chain oil.

Rear Toytec Aluma's are on. FYI @Toytec Lifts .....it would have been a bit easier with some compression straps on the shocks. I ended up using some speaker wire I had left over. It worked but cut into on my beer swilling time!

That's the perfect truck saw. Mine's a 35 year old 028AV and I don't think there's a backroads trip in the last 10 years I haven't had occasion to use it... And that fuel is the only way to go. I used to use just regular gas and add oil myself, but after 2 consecutive years of having carb issues, that's all I'll use now. Starts perfectly every time.

Getting that MotoMix also got me extended time on my warranty too. Pure dino 93 and premixed. Can't go wrong. I've owned numerous chainsaws over the years. Some with 24" bars. This is my first Stihl. Finally! I used my friends MS 170 up in AK to cut black spruce up to 6". Pecker poles. He owned 4 of them. We'd cut the spruce in burn areas. He made custom furniture. They all had 12" bars. Light weight and not overkill. Very reliable. I plan on using it on my off grid property to trim and cut some more firewood. A pain to carry around a long bar saw when not really needed. It will have a small footprint in the back of my Tunny too. I love this Stihl already. I zipped through some stacks of branches in the backyard yesterday to break it in. Easy peasy.

Stihl is about the only gas saw I would own. Recently sold my Farm Boss and sort of regret it but really had no use for it. Stihl chain saws eat wood, just the best. Used the money to buy a Milwaukee cordless chain saw for truck/camp duties. It's been great so far but if I ever need another gas saw it's Stihl for sure. It will last you decades if you do your part.

Finally. I'm getting a quote in the morning to have my lift done. Colorado Tire & Service. A couple blocks away. I bought both sets of my Coopers there and know the manager quite well. The tech that is writing up my quote has been there for years. Drives a lifted 4X4 along with two other techs there. I explained what I want done and I can stand there and get in their way too. I realized that at 65 I simply don't want to DIY anymore. I cracked a rib putting on my rear Aluma's and it still hurts like hell. Don't ask... Time is a factor as in no time. These guys are good, otherwise I wouldn't ask for a quote.

I still like saving a buck but I realized in this instance it would be wise to fork over the money. Ha! I have a hard time sleeping because of the rib. I thought I pulled a muscle but the X ray indicated that it was cracked. Explains a lot........too old for this sh*t!

Talked to the shop manager today. Tom. He was the one that sold me my 2 sets of Coopers. He asked all the right questions. After I explained what all had to go on he asked if I had the diff and carrier bearing drop kits too? Bingo! They just did a similar lift on a Taco last week. Lift going on next Wednesday. They will also remove the OEM rear leaf bushings and utilize my Toytec poly's with my Pro Form Fab shackles. Alignment of course. $800 out the door. Fair price for all the labor it saves me and keeping me from another trip to my doctor....

Got my way overpriced Stihl chainsaw case dropped off today. $96! No longer in production but a few suppliers have it on Amazon. Crazy that Stihl stopped making these.....f**k....it's starting to snow now. Not much but 3"+ by morning. Almost 70 yesterday. 1st day of Spring. I love Colorado.

So.....no one noticed my Pro Form Fab shackles in the pic? $50. I love Toytec but these shackles are beefier and not $200. I had to go to my local ACE and get hardware. $21. $71 total. I wanted Toytec to mount my lift but they would not do it because not all goodies were purchased from them. Bad call in that regards... just sayin.......
