Black toyota badge

I have a 2024 trd off road hybrid and what to get a black toyota emblem for it. Is there a part number for black emblem or is the overlay kit the only way to go.

 

Plasti Dip is your friend. Buy a can and put about 5-6 coats on the chrome emblem. The emblem is easy to pop out. Let each coat dry before applying the next coat. Mine is 2 years old and still looks perfect. Cost…$6.

 

I went with the ebay overlay kit

 

Plasti dip is best. Overlay is ok but my dog ate it and it’s overpriced. I painted mine twice but it chips. So going Plasti dip now. I like it.

 

Just curious. Are we talking the emblem in the grille or the steering wheel?

I liked the gloss overlay better on the platinum, I bought the flat and the gloss and the gloss was a better look

first one is gloss, second was is flat. In person it was a bigger difference

I liked the overlay look much more than dip, just my .02.

 

gloss looks nice. Have a link to share for that?

 

My concern with the overlay is that it's not going to fit over the hybrid emblem as it comes with a blue surrond wich makes it look a bit biger the standard emblem

 

That's odd, I have the same truck as you ('24 Limited Hybrid w/ the TRD OR pack.) I don't have the hybrid chrome emblem with the blue in it. My emblem is flat black, same as the TRD grille.

 

So I have a hybrid and went with the eBay gloss overlay- it covered the blue part as well. Matches awesome with the platinum grill and surround.

just make sure to get gloss if thats what you like.

 

Yeah it's stupid in Canada the trd of road hybrid comes with everything color matched and blacked out except the toyota logo and the the limited is chrome
