Anyone know if there is a way to black out the red TRD on the TRD wheels? It seems like a plastic cap that could be replaced?? Anyone done anything? Black sharpie seems like it might look cheesey??? (not my picture - my wheels are on my summer tires)

The cap is removable. You might be able to find a plain black cap in the same size. You could wrap it. Or if you still want the TRD, just not in red, the heritage caps are the same but have bronze where yours are red (ring and letters). Not cheap but they look nice with the all black wheel.

Yeah sharpie would not look very good thats for sure.....I would say 4 or 5 coats of plasti dip would do the trick and since the caps are pretty well protected it should last a while.

@doughboysigep curious if you ever got anywhere with this - I also don't care for the red and was looking for a way to paint that would last or part numbers for some replacements that are either black or bronze.

I painted the outer ring black. Then I used a bronze metallic paint pen from Home Depot to paint the TRD logo. I ordered the heritage caps, but they were on backorder. It took 5 months for the heritage caps to arrive.
The TRD center cap held up for a couple tire rotations, then the TRD logo got scuffed on two of the wheels.20240305_090753.jpg

No. I like what Gator posted. The red has actually grown on me a bit. Not as "bothered" by it.
