Hey all, just purchased a 2007 crewmax 4 days ago and I want to black out the emblems and lights on the exterior of the truck. I'm having a hard time finding replacements or ways to do it. Maybe I'm just unfamiliar with the terminology or something. Maybe some of you have done this? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, thanks for the quick response. I've never plasti dipped anything. Would I need to remove them or can i leave them on the truck and do it? I'm sure there's a YouTube tutorial I can find.

Or just buy them off Amazon or eBay and yank the chrome ones off, cleanup adhesive and apply the black ones.

If you search for blacked out emblems on Amazon you will find both replacements that are black, or black covers that just go over the chrome ones and stick on with double sided tape.

Before removing the emblems, put masking tape along the bottom and at least one side of the emblem so you can put it back exactly were it came from. Nothing looks worse than a crooked emblem.
Fishing line and a warm day works best for removing them.

I’d do this but I have too much ADHD to tape every single thing off

I'm looking at plasti dipping as soon as the weather turns warm. The covers are just too expensive.
