Does anybody have a part number for the black/matte black Toyota emblem. I see a lot of people paint, some buy of eBay. I looked at the parts thread and there are numbers for the silver version.

    TIA

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
Not sure if Toyota offers true black emblems. They do however offer stick on’s that cover the original Toyota emblems. Actual Toyota Part.

    Thanks!

Prices vary from 99.00 to 140. So I see why people paint their own. For me I am just looking for the Toyota Emblem I removed everything else already.

Here is glossy vs matte on platinum

I think the glossy fits in better on platinum, so I’ll have a matte for sale

The gloss blk definitely looks best with the platinum grill !! Especially with the other gloss black trim pieces that the platinum has versus other trims. My limited came with the less glossy blk overlays, they’re actually kind of a satin sheen.

I ordered the gloss black overlay, as well. Looks great on the Platinum!

For those of you who remove the logo and painted them yourselves, how the heck did you get this thing off? I’m pretty mechanically inclined, and it looked fairly challenging. Did you takeoff the whole grill?

I had to pinch the 3 tabs inward while pulling the emblem out. It wasn't easy by any means. There is no adhesive holding it on, so once you get the tabs pinched correctly, it should pop out.

My emblemed popped out by pressing the clip on the back of the emblem that is located at six o'clock.

Don’t break the tabs , otherwise you’ll be kicking yourself for just not using an overlay

yes. tabs at 10, 2, and 6 o'clock. Reach through and gently work any one tab; the emblem will separate from the grill a sliver. Then do same to the other two and it pops out.

Flathead screwdriver from behind on each of the 3 tabs did the trick for me. Put several coats of plastisip on mine as well and it's been holding up great. Will snap a pic tomorrow
