Black Chrome

Hi guys! New Member here. I am a new owner of a beautifule 2019 Platinum Crewmax 4x4 in Super White.

I wanted to body paint match the door handles and side mirrors, as many do, as I am not into the traditional chrome.


However, I recently saw “Black Chrome” on some wheels and other trim on another make/model car and I am digging it.

Has anyone “black chrome” these items on their tundra? I maybe using the search fuction wrong on here, putting in quotes “Black chrome”, and its not pulling up the results I want. I only am able to use a mobile device to browse the forums.

If there is a thread already or anyone have any pics, I’d love to see Black chrome on door handles, side mortor covers and even some wheels. I might consider going down this route to be different.

I got an OEM Toyota black chrome exhaust tip that is waiting around to replace a "white" chrome exhaust tip.

 

Black chrome is becoming more popular nowadays. You may also be able to find several shops around your neck of the woods that can get all your chrome done in black chrome.

Black chrome is beautiful.

 

Not exactly an answer to your door handle/mirror question, but I went with polished and tinted wheels with polished windows, because I wanted that smoked chrome look myself.
