I looked at a similar set for my 1st gen. I was told I would need some upper control arms with adjustability. Something like camburg or spc’s. I already have total chaos arms so I passed on em.

they seem like an awesome idea though

help me understand why UCA adjustability would matter?
These lock in the lower control arm cams?

If you lock the bottom you have no way to adjust your camber and caster so you would need adjustable uppers to compensate for locking the lowers out.

Interesting. The way I understood it from the video is that you set the alignment and these then lock the alignment points in place because the cam washer cannot rotate because of the shape.
Not that these keep you from setting an alignment.

Seems to me that this is a very important detail they should add to the description.

Kind of like buying Coilovers that require aftermarket control arms but they don’t tell you that.
Needing adjustable control arms is kind of a big deal.

Yes you can do an alignment with these, but it's not going to be as precise as the factory cams. if anything is bent or tweaked in your suspension your kind of stuck with whatever these cams are at . with adjustable uppers you can get the alignment more precise.

I am new to the Tundras.
Do you suggest SPC Cam kits for these trucks over OE?
Getting ready to do adjustable Coilovers on mine with factory UCAs for the time being.

When I put Fox 2.0s on my Expedition they could not get enough adjustment even with aftermarket arms (though not adjustable) so they suggested the SPC Cam kit and seemed to work very well.

How much lift do you want? Are you going to be offroading or staying on the street? What coilovers are you getting?

It looks like you would be limited to the degrees that the shape is set to, so an adjustable upper arm would be nice to have. I'm curious what the predetermined notches are set to for camber and caster.

They look well made though, I have SPC cams and these Bison make them look pretty weak.

I have the TeraFlex Falcon Tow/Haul leveling system on the way. So I will be 2.25” of lift in the front.
I do a decent amount mild to moderate off roading when I get the opportunity. But the truck is mostly gets me around town.

Bump, First post, long time lurker. :anonymous:

Would be interesting to know how these and the spc uca play together. I saw another style of cam bolt lockout recently in an ad and realized if I could keep from needing an alignment from the damn pot holes up in Canada it could be a nice money saver. Also read something about these lockouts possibly breaking other things? Besides needing beefier cam tab gussets it would be a shame to start breaking other parts. I guess that's why the lowers have give and need to be re-aligned to take tension off the rest of the setup? Maybe I just answered my own questions.
