I had Bilstein 6112's installed on my truck late fall last year, and I get kind of a squeaky clunk noise from them when hitting bumps and stuff. Anyone else get that by chance?

In 40k on my 6112s I have not noticed any noise from them. My guess would be bushing in the upper mount of the shock.

I never posted the solution to this, it ended up being the diff drop that was put on. It changed the angle too much and was causing the noise. It's been removed and deemed unnecessary.

I have a rubber squeaking noise when I go over bumps with my 6112s. No diff drop. Any ideas?

Thanks for posting this. I just had 6112's (2.5 w/ Coachbuilder spacers, too) and a diff drop installed and have a clunk when hitting speed bumps at around 15 mph.

Diff drops don't do anything on current Gen trucks except move the oil away from the pinion bearing. I’d ditch it.

I’m not saying that is definitely your issue… but it’s a place to start!

I think it’s the bushings for the sway bar for me. I think they are the squeaking. Will try and grease them this week and see if mine goes away.
It happens on turn bumps and such. Just bouncing the truck up and down by hand doesn’t make a sound.

How so? This is the first I’ve heard against diff drops.

It doesnt change the CV angle when you install it so it really doesnt "drop the diff". It's more so of 'lean'

Greased up the front sway bar rubber bushings, which did help, but I still have squeaking coming from my SPA UCA bushings now :(

You did grease with full synthetic right? Something like SuperLube? Polyurethane bushings will degrade from regular grease

Yeah, was the bushing lube that came with the Coachbuilder shackles. I had extra packets.
