I have a stock 2018 limited 4x4 crewcab. I am looking at buying the 6112 preset at #4 (highest setting, and 5160 for the rear.

    running BFG's 285/18

I few questions if any can help.

Will i need new UCA's ? I was told they were not needed.

Alos will I need to a block to the rear, is so what size? 1" or ! 1/2". or a shackles a better choice or decision?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

You should not need UCA’s unless they are unable to align it after install.

As for blocks in the rear - how much rake do you want? Without a block - or better yet, shackles or new leaves - the truck will be about level but look a tad nose high because of the body lines. Many do a 1” block in the rear so as to not encourage the cali lean if you put anything in the bed. I prefer to keep at least 2” of rake (3” is factory) but that’s me.

I'd go with rear shackles over a block.

I did 6112s (not the highest setting) with the end result of 2.5" of lift in the front.
    Pretty much leveled the truck.

I then added Toytec shackles on the 1" setting.

When I did run it level I would get nanny warnings on sharp turns.
There is a way to fix that, offset the sensor under the console, but I wanted a little rake back.

We generally recommend new UCAs on any lift that is 2.25" or greater in the front. You can install without new UCAs and see if the alignment shop can get you back into spec, but just be prepared that they might not be able to get you dialed in perfectly without new arms.

How do you want your truck to sit? Level? A little bit of rear rake? As others have said in here a shackle lift is generally regarded as the superior "budget" option for lifting the rear of these Tundras. I personally run a Coachbuilder shackle as many others do, and have been happy with it. How big of one to get depends on where you'd like the rear end to sit in relation to the front.

We've got a couple of sets of 6112s and 5160s in stock as well here at Hotshot Offroad if you haven't sourced everything yet.

If you want the Gen 2 5160s that just released shoot me a message. I don't have listings for them quite yet. They're $270 apiece and have black stickers instead of the blue, and some different fittings and finish. They are essentially the same shock though, but they would match the front 6112s!
