I ordered 5100 Bilsteins for 2014 Tundra. Im curious to see what everyones setups are who have these. Is it common to have a spacer with these?

My current setup is a leaf in the rear that s at 1.5In and a spacer in the front around 2".

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for sharing the pic. I am thinking about the 5100's as well. Nice to see them installed and with 18" wheels. I like it!!

I like more tire, 20" look like a road wheel to me. I'm old, 15" for the win

Bilstein 5100's, Morimoto gen 2 XB headlights and fog lights, TRD sway bar and skid plates. Nothing else needed!
I removed my spacers when I upgraded to the 5100's. Full height setting up front gives me a hair over 2" of lift, with .25" of rake up front. Theyre stiffer than my OEMs were (non-TRD), but theyre also brand new, I would expect some loosening up over time. The difference from going with old worn out shocks to the 5100's, combined with a rear sway bar really made a night and day difference, IMO.

I love your setup! Couple of questions:

what size shackles are you running in the back?

what size shims are you running in the front? Why did you do 2 on the driver side?

Any issues? How is the ride overall?

    the shackles are +2

The shims up front are .5” thick each. The driver side gets 2 to compensate for the “driver side lean” which is due to the extra weight of the battery and gas tank.

ride quality is great, stiffer than the standard TRD sport suspension but that’s cause I’m on the top clip so there is more preload on the spring

side by side comparison to my parents 21 trail edition

Running 35x11.50r20 at the moment but looking to go to 17’s and 305/70r17 to knock off about 20 lbs per corner. Love the ride. Kinda stiff but sometimes that’s the price of admission.

OEM, no issues. Here’s a pic of my alignment specs. The fact that the wheels are zero offset helps a lot with clearance of the UCA’s.

just the 5100’s nothing else was added. Although I also did the coach builder carrier bearing spacers.

OEM TRD dual exhaust with black tips
