Not so patiently waiting on some Bilstein 5100's for my 2004 2wd DC. Will be adding a steel bumper. Plan on also getting new coil springs, already got new mount and isolators on the way. Was looking at OME and Dobinson springs. Sales rep said I should get the 2888 OMEs, then 2887's a week later. Has anyone used either springs? What size? What kind of lift did you get? Appreciate any advice/insight you may have.

    2887 are 400mm tall and 590lbs
    2888 are 405mm and 590lbs
    2886 are 402mm and 660lbs
2885 are 395mm and 590lbs and most get 2.5 lift.

Since you're adding a steel bumper, I'd go with the 2886. There was another member with a steel bumper who started out on 2885 and they were too soft so he went to the 2886 and was happy.

Is your truck an access cab, DC or regular cab?

Thanks so much for explaining. At least I know your reasoning, and definitely agree with it, as opposed to you just telling me what to do. Learning is half the battle...
