Trying to figure out which route to go, I have 275/55r20 want to upgrade tires to either a 275/65r20 or 285/65r20 with more aggressive tread . Will I get the clearances I need installing 5100 or 6112 bilstein system or any alternative without chopping

May depend on the offset of the wheels. However, I fit 295/70/18 (almost same size as 285/65/20, both are a little over 34”) on +25 wheels on stock suspension with very light rubbing in front of the tire after taking off mud flaps. Point is, you may not need a lift.

as for the lift, I spent the money on 6112s and did not notice much of a ride difference, probably an unpopular opinion on this forum. If I had to do it again, I’d go with 5100s and could have saved a lot of money if I wanted a ride comparable to stock. Edit: I’m still lightly rubbing even after a 3” lift.
