Alright guys, nothing is ever wrong with my tundra ever so I have time to think about other stuff haha. watching a Bigfoot show this morning. Sometimes I go down the rabbit hole of big foot content . It is entertaining. Always makes me think what is out there in the woods. The mystery.

It’s obviously ridiculous and extremely unlikely. The one thing that sticks with me is a convo from Steve Rinella on the meat eater podcast.
How do you deny someone’s experience or encounter? When they truly believe what they experienced? Not some weird guys out making a show about it but what about some normal people? And avid and experienced outdoorsman?

Let’s hear some thoughts! This stuff is fun to talk about.

Hell the world is wild enough today, I wouldn’t be surprised if the news broke a Bigfoot has been captured tomorrow. Everyone would probably move on and forget about it in a few days.

There is no bigfoot. We know everything already including how the universe works. Except when we discover a new species of spider that's been out in the open the whole time. Or figure out that a species isn't actually extinct...

sure can. when you consider how the human mind operates, it becomes quite easy to discount what people "remember", or "feel" they "experienced".

There is that pesky Patterson/Gimlin film shot in 67. Never officially debunked. Many northwest native Americans believe in Sasquatch. Alaska natives too. Who am I to disregard their beliefs going back millenia?

    Huh??? :notsure:

    Anyhow...

"Western Indian tribes also believed in supernatural beings known as Skinwalkers. The Navajo tribe especially believed that these Skinwalkers were shape-shifters who could assume the form of any animal which allowed them to travel quickly and gave them the ability to hide in plain sight"...

    upload_2024-7-21_9-57-0.jpg

    https://youtu.be/YC6ImkQLohE

The hwy between Farmington, NM and Gallup, NM (it used to be labeled as hwy 666 and has changed a few years ago)... Anyhow, legend has it that while traveling that stretch of road at night, if you looked east, it was common to see a pair of red eyes starring back at you from out in the distance.

I have no personal experience w/one (that I know of :D), but will tell you that some of the native americans in that area were deathly afraid to even talk about them...

My poor attempt at making a pun by misquoting the movie Silence of the Lambs wherein a psychopathic serial killer captures his victims, throws them in a pit, and has them moisturize their skin with lotion before skinning them, then walking around with them. Hence, skin walkers… even though I’m familiar with the Western Indian tribe lore..

Correct... most folks that made decent money worked at the plants; and I'm with you there's a ton of short cuts that drop from Utah, NM and CO into AZ, but most are w/o any resources....

I have it on good authority that bigfoot is Andre the Giant. IMDB actually gives him that credit.

I have had 2 phenomenally undescribable encounters in my lifetime that have left me in a purgatory of believing or not. Was it real? Was I hallucinating? Was it something I have imagined? Where is my proof? The only thing I have is what I believe happened, and the endless chicken skin goose bumps that return to my entire skin as I recall the events.
One was in Maine, the other in Washington. Both similar, both different. I was camping alone, far from civilization and in remote parts of non-campround areas in deep woods.(I like the isolation and vulnerability of solo camping) No it was not a moose or a Bear, deer, or any other "small" animal that I have seen and heard a 100times. It was as if a there was a hairy 8-12ft tall tree that decided to move around my campsite and then vanish when I tried to seek it out I cannot deny what I saw and the ground was disturbed in a way that was unnatural and inconsistent with any animal. Almost like it was hovering over the ground but not touching it. I never believed that it was an alien, but I could never say it wasn't. The hairy tree was in Washington and a similar tall, lanky, "shadow man" as I dubbed it was in Maine. The shadow man moved in an unpredictable and impossible manner. It came close enough for me to notice it, but then vanished up into the trees without sound or tracks just some remnant of an absolutely awful smell. I'm 52 years old, and have only a theoretical explanation and no physical evidence. These encounters were 3000 miles apart and 10years between them. I can guarantee that there is more out there then we think Bigfoot maybe, maybe something else, maybe alien, farfetched maybe, but I still have no doubt it's not anything in a common book.
