Cruisers, I’ve been looking at all the different packages from TRD, Wilwood, Stoptech, Alcon etc. I own a landcruiser 200 that has tundra hardware, dba 42724s 14“ sports discs and sport (dusty)pads, but I would like some info on big brake upgrades, what’s worked for you street driving and towing.
    At times I’m 7 tonnes.(15500lb)
    Andrew Australia.

Have you looked at ih8mud.com? The 200 series forum there is full of mods. Lots of people do a BBK (big brake kit). The 2016+ 200 series brakes are bigger than the earlier 200 series. But they’re not as beefy as Tundra brakes.

I have a 200 series (LX570) and put larger Tundra front brakes on it. Read the 2nd post of this thread for details. It was an easy job once I had the right tools—and totally worth it. That vehicle stops with authority now.

Thankyou, I currently have the tundra setup on with dba drilled rotors and performance pads, these are good, but I’m after feedback on the big brake kits like TRD, as I run 20x8.5 rims. From what I’ve read they are metal pads and soft discs.??
