I just bought a 2021 TRD Pro that is badass! Looking to add a Wench to it and wanted to see what type you guys recommend. Looking for something I can use on my property to pull down small trees or pull myself out if I ever get stuck somewhere.

Went to a racing event and we rented a RV and tagged it with "MILF Hunter". Pretty rapidly we got it sunk to the frame driving across some sand and needed two trucks strapped together to move it while one of the media helicopters orbited above us. Good times in the MILF Hunter.

I tried a wench on the front of my Lexus.

Yeah, that didn't work for shit. I was rather impressed she had cat like reflexes and totally landed it.

You can get a warn evo 10k winch at Northridge4x4 right now for $420 plus tax. There’s a $150 rebate for it so it brings it to roughly $300 after taxes. Harbor freight has a 12k for the same price after taxes as well. Both are decent winches that are proven. Only reason I’d lean towards warn is that every part is available should you ever need to rebuild or service it

Both of these winches come with steel cable. You can source some rope pretty cheaply and find a fairlead secondhand as well. Or get one this weekend. Would still be cheaper than buying the winch pre-spooled with rope

300 hectares on single tank of kerosene
Badlands winches (harbor freight, tractor supply) are actually not too bad for the price. A friend of mine who does a fair amount of overlanding and four wheeling swears by his. Might be something to consider.

The wench that you buy has to be specific for a TRD Pro because otherwise it won't work.
