    Hello Audiophiles,

What is the best way to listen to music from an iphone in the truck? (through spodify, apple music, etc) I am about to upgrade my speakers and amp thanks to James (tech12volt@gmail.com), so in preparation, I'm looking for the best method (from a technical standpoint) of listening to music using the OEM headunit.

As you know, I can listen through bluetooth, USB (I think, but never tried), or through the Aux plug. Of course, I can use a CD to, but who uses CD's anymore???

    What do you guys think?

FLAC files loaded on USB or the original CD. Not sure the OEM HU can even read FLAC files though

The best sound quality I've found is to use a USB drive as well. 2nd best sound is plugging your phone in through the USB. 3rd is bluetooth. I use USB & Bluetooth for Spotify.
I find Spotify is pretty good with streaming quality.
I run JL Audio all around and use high quality tracks on USB.

Parked in a remote campsite with friends, but I think I might be off base here.

I also listen to a lot of FLAC. I don't think iPhone plays FLAC. I don't think the OEM head unit is capable of playing FLAC either. I play them through my Android phone via bluetooth.

If I have my phone hooked up via USB and have my music playing, it always seems to cut out which totally pisses me off. So I go the Bluetooth route 99% of the time for music.

I use an ipod classic through the usb input. 160 gb of metal. Sounds much better than through bluetooth or aux. Gets much louder too.

Then you won't remember 8 track or cassettes either. ;) Actually I miss the CD player in my Corolla XRS. For long trips I go get and audio book from the library. Can't do that without a CD player. Guess I could get an external drive and use the USB port.

Can't you download audio books to your phone and play through bluetooth or wired in?

That’s interesting, I have the same one and when trying to listen it would skip songs. It would play about the first 10 to 15 seconds and then jump to next song.
