Wondering if anybody has swapped the base urethane wheel grip for an OEM leather grip, and if so what is part # for DIY (and directions maybe?) or what did dealer quote/charge to do it?

Honda dealer was able to swap in an OEM leather grip on my wife's base Pilot for like $300ish - wondering if Toyota will do the same for a similar price...

If there is another option folks have found that looks as good as OEM also interested in hearing about those. Thanks!

IMG_1429.jpg There are a few companies that will wrap any steering wheel you send them with OEM quality leather. I’ve used two of them over the years and it worked great. One was a Porsche wheel and one I had done is my 2nd Tundra SR5. The only downside is you have to send your wheel to them and turnaround was a week or two. The plus side is quality and color were perfect. Wrapping it yourself is very difficult and the result will be nothing close to the same.

to get around the issue of not having a wheel for a while, I bought a used wheel to put on during the upgrade and then I sold it when I got my wheel back.

My Toyota wheel was done by Craftcustoms in 2020.
