I have bought aftermarket rims and bigger tires for every truck I’ve had for 20 years. As soon as I switch from the OEM, they seem to go out of balance every 2-3000 miles. I am ready to buy some for my new ‘18 Tundra (also a level or lift). Any suggestions for a brand or type that won’t need so much maintenance?

I’ve ran kmc (3sets) and Moto(1set on my Jeep), both haven’t let me down.

    Welcome.

I was always under the impression that the bigger / aggressive tread tires were the issue with balancing or not staying balanced. Would think if wheel had an issue then it would have been damaged or bent. Just my .02

I was wondering if it could be the tires, but I have always had street tires except for my last set that were BFG All Terrain which aren’t real aggressive. My tire shop ads almost all after market “rims” do that. He never blamed the tires and was always willing to balance them.
