Needing to install a iPhone holder and would like to see what you all have done. Here is the one I’m considering. It works great in my wife’s 4Runner.

I’ve bounced around from pretty much every style of phone holder on the market. Vent mounts, windshield mounts, magnetic, clip style, etc.

I finally settled on a Proclip with wireless charging and that seems to be the best one so far.

I live near some bumpy roads and the other mounts always wobbled a ton, some even worked their way loose, but the Proclip is super sturdy. I’ve also worn out the charging port on my previous phone from the constant plugging and unplugging, and the wireless chargers fixed that issue.

The Proclip also mounts above the vent which is nice because in the summer I can point the vent upwards to blow cold air across the phone to cool it down. But it’s better then a dedicated vent mount because in the winter time I’ve had my phone overheat a few times from the hot air blowing on it. The Proclip let’s you point the vent at the phone, or away from the phone, which is nice.

Use a Scosche too. The small adhesive backed magnetic one installed just below an air vent. Secure and unobtrusive. Then a small adhesive thin metal plate on back of phone. Multi rigs and years, simple and secure, but I use a smallish phones, not sure how it would hold on the real large phones.

On my old car I had a small magnet on a 7" tablet that had data and I used it as my GPS. The magnet held the tablet well.

I have tried suction cups, VHT tape, vent mounts, home made 3D printed mounts, and many more. I finally landed on Ram mounts. I like to permanently mount the bases so I never have to worry about it falling off.

In order: Orvis dog cover for rear bench seat, OE gun safe, Husky liners front/rear, Tyger tonneau tri fold, Rough Country seat covers
Offroam (17mm) vent clip with the Amazon Apps2car magnetic phone holder. The phone holder comes with an adhesive mount but you can unscrew it then attach to Offroam.
