I know there has been a lot of discussion on the subject. However trying to find a guide basically you need these parts type of thing. I see more non TRD Tundras then the TRD package. And only seen one TRD Pro which is in black which I do not like.

So if I find a truck with the right options and the color I like other then the TRD willing to go that route if need be. Just no clue what parts I need.

If I missed a post that had what I am looking for, I apologize.

Just in case there is confusion the TRD Offroad suspension (Bilstein 4500) is different than the TRD PRO suspension (Fox)

Man, there are a few YouTube videos of people swapping suspension on a Tundra. Super easy to find. Just follow them step-by-step. That’s what I did when I swapped mine.

Watch your local craigslist, OfferUp, and FB mktplace for Bilstein take-offs. The only thing you need is the front coilovers and the rear shocks. They’re not too rare. Lots of guys swap them out. I did (but I’m keeping mine for the time being).

Pro tip: you can swap out the rear shocks with the tires on the ground and no jack. Do one side at a time and ALWAYS check your torque values when you retighten everything. If you don’t have one, a torque wrench is necessary. Doesn’t need to be fancy. Got mine from walmart 4 years ago.

When you do the front, do one side at a time. Jack the truck up, and support it on jack stands. I like to have the jack under there, too. I’m all about redundancies when I’m under a nearly 3-ton truck.

You will NEED to get an alignment. So make sure you schedule that in the next day or two.

As @Saltyhero13 said, the TRD Off Road coilovers and rear shocks aren’t any longer/taller than what’s on a non-TRD Off Road truck. It’s the TRD Fox kit that is taller up front with longer shocks in the rear. I went from the OR Bilsteins to the Pro Foxes. The OR kit is pretty great to be honest, but the Fox kit is on another level.

Take old parts off, install new ones the same way you removed the old ones. Do one side at a time so you have the other side for reference. It’s literally that easy!

Don't get me wrong, I would rather buy the truck with what I want to begin with, however that seems less and less likely with the current market.
