Can anyone share their experiences with the best dog rear seat nest? I currently have one that acts like a saddle over the headrests and had the sides that are supported by the “oh shit” rear handles.

I’m wondering if anyone has one that’s similar but functions with the seats flipped up. I have a crew max.

Maybe a new or old blanket with four holes in it and a roll of elastic band or zip ties to anchor it up. Sorry I like cheap and purposeful for dirt, mud, slobber, etc. It also results in new stuff for our home and prevents waste.

Prevent waste says the one with a lead foot! Haha jk. Thanks for the advice but my husky would destroy a blanket as he does with everything else.

Fwiw, lead foot prevents waste of time! Ha ha!
You can buy a high quality canvas tarp with grommets ready to go. I have an Anatolian Shepherd so I know big dogs can quickly destroy some stuff.

I have one that is a soft crate with internal stiffener rods, zipper doors on both sides, fills whole back seat, secures with simple loops over rear headrests. Has a zippered porthole on front center for dog’s head. Bought it used $40. Thought I had a pic :(

Check @RainMan_PNW ’s build thread. He’s got one that I’m gonna order when I stop being lazy. Can’t remember the name. But it looks great and total coverage. Orvis and carhartt ones are small/ better suited for DC’s from what I’ve seen / read. (Edit: I have experience with the carhartt one. It’s too small for a CM)

I can’t speak for a rear seat 4kanines, but their front seat one is great and super quick setup/takedown.

Yes they are. We actually have 4, 3 that are rescues. The mahogany brindle one in the picture we just got 2 weeks ago. Both his owners, in their late 70s, passed away this past year. The family didn’t want him for whatever reason and posted him on a rescue website in Illinois. We drove from Ohio to get him. 18 months old and just a wonderful dog, as are all the others. I’m 71 and grew up with Boxers and my wife and I have always had at least one Boxer in the house during our 51 years together. So yep, we love the breed.

If you ever hear of any rescues needed in or around VA let me know.

we had to put our female down last April due to Lymphoma Cancer. But we still have our male.

sorry, not trying to highjack your thread OP. Just a big fan of the boxer breed!

Yep, sorry OP. But “Boys…” I will ask my wife to keep an eye out for you. It seems cancer is the #1 cause of death with this breed. Almost all of ours that have passed have succumbed to cancer. Although 2 that we adopted had severe heart murmurs but we knew that going in. We had them both about 5 years. The ones that died of cancer usually didn’t live past 9 or 10. This big guy was a Boxer/Mastiff. 110# of sweet, intelligent love. He was tied to a dog house the first 2 years of his life and full of heartworm when the warden took him away from his owner. We had him about 5 years before he died from seizures.0AB5979C-B117-4E8D-9C06-4953505CF5E3.jpg

    That’s a big boy!

Our female was AKC but the male we got from the SPCA and he was undernourished and scared up. Don’t know much about his background. But he’s got that goofy boxer personality but definitely is clingy. Not sure how he was previously treated.

I know it's not for everyone, but a few years back I removed my back seats and made a platform for my dog since he goes everywhere with me.

Good looking dogs! I've always had a liking for boxers, but never owned one. Maybe that'll be my next dog. I need to learn a little more about that breed.

I like this cover. Does it "hold" the hair? Can it be washed?
