What's up everybody? I just upgraded recently and am eager to mod my 5.7! I found some outdated posts that recommended aFe and Volant CAIs over K&N. Would love to hear opinions and personal experiences.

stock is the one you want. honestly, any time I've seen a thread on these the end result is the cai actually causing the truck to lose power. there are better ways to spend and improve. BAMuffler would be my choice.

My brother loves the K&N on his '07. I think mostly because of the noise it makes. I'll just leave mine alone.

You do know the stock setup is a CAI, right.

TRD if you are in for the bling. None, if you're looking for additional performance.

The Volant sounds great I still have my stock in the attic but I have never swapped maybe I should to give it a test.....maybe I'll switch it out this week end I have had the Volant in there for a long time and I like the way it sounds but never noticed power loss but I guess will find out

I say just get a afe dry flow filter and call it a day. I just ordered one! Along with a BDX tuner. Im not expecting large gains but better shifting resulting in the truck being quicker all around because of it. Also it has the ability to adjust features of the truck like seat belt chime etc. as well as read dtc’s and store multiple custom tunes if I ever wanted to.

Thanks for y'all's input. I think I'm gonna hold off on that until after I get an exhaust in
